A WEOBLEY author has launched her second book at the village's high school.

Elizabeth Holley read a passage from Menace of the Night Creatures to pupils, while the author was asked questions about herself and her interest in literature.

This is the second book that Mrs Holley has written, which involves Jonah Drake defeating the demons of the underworld that attack Hereford.

However, the night creatures then swarm towards London, resulting in the SAS being called.

Mrs Holley, whose first book is called Legend of the Heart Eaters, was presented with a book of short stories written by year seven and eight pupils. Student Hannifah Akhtar was also handed a certificate for reading the most books in the West Midlands after entering the 'Read for my School' competition.

Mrs Holley will be signing copies of her books at Waterstones in Hereford on Saturday from 11am to 2pm.
