AN OPEN garden event in event in Coddington attracted 135 people and raised over £800 for charity.
With donations still coming in, the final tally is still be be announced.
But it will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, as a personal thank you to the charity.
Huw Taylor, aged 44, the son of Brian and Megan Taylor, was diagnosed with testicular cancer ten years ago, and Mrs Taylor, as a result, joined her local Macmillan Committee.
Her son is now well, and living in New Zealand, but Mrs Taylor still loves to open her garden at The Cross, Coddington, under the National Gardens Scheme, to raise funds for her favourite good cause.
Anyone wishing to boost the total should phone 01531 640246.
