Hereford Times: Hereford United speak of "dismay" at postponements Hereford United speak of "dismay" at postponements

HEREFORD United have spoken of their "dismay" at the postponement of the club's first two pre-season matches.

Herefordshire Council has said this Sunday's game against 1st Battalion Rifles and next Saturday's clash with Cardiff City cannot go ahead because of safety concerns.

The Bulls' advisor Andy Lonsdale has since released a statement saying he hopes the match can be rearranged shortly.

"It is with dismay that we have to announce the postponement of the forthcoming Help for Heroes match that was due to be played this coming Sunday," he said.

"This is a very worthy cause and one we were fully committed to supporting.

"A further date will be announced in due course."

Clearly the new owner hasn't a clue on how to run a football club. Just buy it for a couple of quid and off you go, simples!

I cant see the southern league putting up with this nonsense for long, they will get booted out of that before long. Mind you, look at the Southern League premier website and they are about as forthcoming with news as HUFC.

Just for the record Mr lonsdale, Why is a man who "has no role" at HUFC (and indeed is allowed to have no role given his role at another football club) and is just "advising a mate" making announcements on behalf of that club ?

Strikes me as a little shady but I guess we can let the FA be the judge of any rules being broken when I email them a link to this story.

It's amazing !! No comment about the debts they owe to players or staff , but quickly come out to pass comment on matches cancelled that should not even been arranged !! I'm sure all true Hereford fans will boycott any of the games that will be arranged

Mickey I think that there has been lots of comments on non payment of wages as that's all we have heard from day one, and it is disgusting but I think the true United fans know that its all over. Hereford United are no more, even if they start all over again it wont be as Hereford United, sad but real.

Help for heroes is a well worthy charity.....
But shouldnt they be raising money for their own staff that havent been paid first????

They have no intention of running hereford united as a football club, they are only interested in running it in to the ground i think we just have to accept that HUFC is finished. So sad.
