HMS Ledbury has returned to her home base of Portsmouth, after taking part in the 70th anniversary celebrations of the D-Day landings
To take part in that momentous occasion, the Hunt-class minesweeper sailed through the night to Ouistreham and Caen, - mirroring the voyage of her predecessors, seven decades before.
Gliding up the Caen Canal, HMS Ledbury actually passed under the famous Pegasus Bridge, - site of both the first British casualty of D-Day and the first building to be liberated in occupied France.
