WELLINGTON's new community hub will be officially opened tomorrow (Friday).

Complete with a shop and a small parish room that doubles up as a library, the hub was created as a result of villagers working together.

The shop and post office is currently run by Rob Ruck, who took over the reins after a previous owner said the store was not making any profit.

Grants have been secured to fund the project, with the bulk being borrowed from the Public Works Loan Board.

It will be repayable by the parish council via precepts.

The official ceremony will take place at 4pm, with the ribbon being cut by Lizzie McMillen, daughter of Pastor Ed McMillen of Wellington Chapel.
