MORE than 10 new members were recruited to Hereford's Civic Society after a successful event in the city centre last Saturday.
The society had a pagoda in Hereford's High Town to explain its aspirations to become "civic champions" – and recruited 11 new members.
Encouraged by the Farrell Report in March – which suggested architecture and planning should have a higher profile – Hereford Civic Society wants to be the leader of the drive to consider all aspects of Planning Landscape Architecture Conservation and Engineering (PLACE).
