OPINION is split over the need for new housing in Herefordshire according to readers taking part in our online poll.

The poll on herefordtimes.com, which ran from last Thursday to today, asked people what they thought about the need to meet demand for new homes.

A total of 360 votes were cast, with the most popular option being to accept that more homes are needed, which attracted 147 votes.

The option that the county is in danger of being over-developed came second with 116 votes.

The least popular option was one saying residents should have more say on which land is developed, attracting 97 votes.

Strange headline or is it me?
You could say "opinions split" on every poll if there are more than one choices.
I would have thought the headline was "people accept the need for more housing in county" as that was the clear winner. Perhaps I'm just being a fool.

No conclusion possible from such a small unrepresentative sample.

Honestly HT... I understand the polls are meant to make the online HT more interactive, but it already is with these here comments, there's no need for the polls and reporting on your own polls is a bit desperate.

Even worse is to take the time to comment on the story about the polls which are pointless. err...
Perhaps someone could now oblige me by commenting about the comment about the pointless story about the polls.
