A ROAD on the county border which has been closed for several months is due to re-open next week.
It means access will be possible to Part-Y-Seal, Grosmont, where a charity concert is taking place in July.
The drainage works – to the B4347 which links Pontrilas to Hay-on-Wye – have been ongoing for several months but Monmouthshire County Council expects them to be complete by the end of next week.
And the concert, Tea with Jane Eyre, takes place at 3pm on Sunday July 13 at Part-Y-Seal Tea Rooms.
It features talented blind singer and violinist Susanna McCleary, from Grosmont, who was trained at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford before going to study music in Toronto, where she now lives.
It will be raising money for a number of charities for the blind.
Tickets for the show can be bought from Part-Y-Seal Tea Rooms or by calling 01981 240814.
It includes tea, and will cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door.
Advance booking is recommended due to limited numbers.
