HEREFORD British Heart Foundation (BHF) furniture and electrical store is urgently appealing to local residents to have a clear out and donate any unwanted household goods such as sofas, beds, dining tables, wardrobes and TVs. 100% of the profits raised from donations will go into the fight against heart disease and fund the BHF’s life-saving research.

All donations can be collected for free by calling 01432 623257. All types of furniture and electricals are needed, so rather than throwing out unwanted items or paying for them to be collected by the council, residents can donate them to the Hereford BHF furniture and electrical store and help fund life-saving research.

Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer and around 285 people in Herefordshire die from it each year. Donations, which are vital to the charity, are desperately needed so that BHF researchers can continue their relentless search for breakthroughs to beat heart disease.

BHF area manager, Ron Humphreys, says, “We absolutely rely on the support of the local community in Hereford and the surrounding area to keep us running and without their generous donations we risk reducing funding for vital research into heart disease.

“If each household were willing to spend just half an hour having a clear out and donating to their local BHF furniture and electrical store, they would be helping to save lives. It really is as simple as that! Please join the fight for every heartbeat and donate your unwanted household items to your local BHF store today.”

The Hereford BHF furniture and electrical store is located at 29-30 Commercial Street, Hereford, HR1 2DE. To book a free collection for your unwanted items please call 01432 623257 or visit bhf.org.uk/free
