A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries following a collision near Brampton Bryan.

The 24-year-old was the driver of a car that crashed on the A4113 just after 9am.

She sustained a head injury, arm injuries and serious injuries to both her legs.

Paramedics treated her at the scene before she was airlifted to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The A4113 is currently closed as a result of the collision.
