A COUNTY choir which has made the finals of a BBC competition is to give a special charity performance in Hereford later this year.
Hereford Cathedral School’s Cantabile Girls Choir – finalists in this year’s School Choir of the Year Competition on BBC1 – will feature alongside the British Police Symphony Orchestra at the event in October.
The concert, at Hereford Cathedral, follows on from the success of a similar event last year, which featured Cantabile and the Marches Military Wives Choir.
This year’s event will again raise funds for three charities – ABF (The Soldiers’ Charity), The Royal British Legion (TRBL) and SSAFA.
Tickets go on sale on Armed Forces Day on June 28 and can be bought from the Cathedral shop or the Outback shop in Church Lane.
All funds raised from the event, on October 18, will be spent in the county, helping service personnel and their families.
