HEREFORDSHIRE Freemasons have donated £800 to Hereford Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre.
The centre, founded in 2011, has historically worked with women who have been raped or sexually abused.
But, in May last year, it received funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner to extend the service to include men.
Within the last year, the centre has received 29 referrals for men and the charity aims to raise an additional £22,400 a year to extend the counselling service it provides.
Meanwhile, Worshipful Brother Allan Lloyd met the Countess of Wessex during a celebration of Breast Cancer UK.
Frankie Deveruex, manager of The Haven in Hereford, was also present at the celebration at Frogmore House, Windsor.
"The support of The Haven by the Province of Herefordshire has long been withstanding," said Worshipful Brother Lloyd.
"Right Worshipful Brother, the Reverend David Bowen, initiated the present level of support which has qualified the Province to become a guardian of The Haven."
