THE First World War was remembered in Ross-on-Wye on Saturday.
Vintage vehicles, war presentations and a jazz show were all available for people to enjoy at the Rope Walk.
A football match also took place to commemorate a game that took place between Germany and the Allies during the conflict, while war songs were played throughout the day.
The event, which was opened by Gulf War veteran General Sir Peter de la Billiere, was organised by the Ross Branch of the Royal British Legion. Around £2,000 was raised for the Poppy Appeal.
"We had a lot of things going on to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War and it was a successful day," said Margaret Jones, secretary of the Ross Branch of the Royal British Legion.
"The junior footballers even said they wanted to use our logo on their shirts for next season because they were so impressed with what we do."
Other events in the pipeline include a veteran tea party next month, an honour walk in September and a poppy concert in October.
