A COUNTY school has received national recognition for its religious education.
Stretton Sugwas Church of England Academy now boasts the Quality Mark for its teaching in the subject.
It is the first to be awarded to a school in the county.
Subject co-ordinator, Cerys Curtis, said: "This was a rigorous process which helped us to think about what we are doing well in RE and how to continue to develop RE in our school.
"An important part of the REQM is that an assessor visits the school and talks to the learners about their experiences in RE, which allows them to have their say."
