STEVE Davies, a 40-year-old builder and stone mason from New Radnor, is taking on an epic journey of 960 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End on his old faithful Honda C90 motorcycle, affectionately called ‘the love machine’ by Steve and his family.

Steve hopes to raise money for the children’s ward at Hereford County Hospital because of the help and support given on the ward to members of his family and his friends. His two children Ben (17) and Erin (7) plus his stepson Will (16) have all spent time in the children’s ward. Steve said “I wanted to do something to say thank you, so all the money I raise from sponsorship during my journey will go there. The journey will start from John O’ Groats on June 30 and will roughly take five days of blood, sweat and gears."

Steve will be keeping to a speed limit of around 35mph for eight hours per day, travelling on the back roads of Scotland, Wales and England avoiding as many A roads as possible. If you would like to sponsor Steve or would like further information about his challenge, contact him on 07825 703167.
