A LONG-serving founder of a Ledbury charity has retired.
Gill Sackett founded Salter's Hill more than 30 years ago together with Jean Edwards and the late Pat Sexton.
The charity supports people with learning disabilities, and a picnic party was held to celebrate Gill's achievements.
Amanda Johnson, the charity's chief executive, said: "Gill is one of the most inspirational people to work with and she has made a difference to the lives of so many people. Her sense of humour, calm approaches and personal values make her a person to be much admired and genuinely missed.
"We very much hope that she will continue to be involved in the lives of individuals and our charity for many years to come."
