AROUND 70 local people, across the age range, took advantage of the complimentary blood pressure checks that were offered during the annual Ross Rotary stroke awareness day held on May 17.

The checks were performed by the Ross First Responders, who are part of the West Midlands Ambulance Service, in a room made available by Wyedean Healthfoods in their premises on Gloucester Road.

It was stressed by members of the Ross First Responders how important it is for people to be aware of their normal blood pressure and to have regular checks.

The above photo shows members of Ross First Responders and Ross Rotary Club outside Wyedean Healthfoods.

Ross Rotary Club meets every Monday evening at 6.30pm 7pm at the Chase Hotel. Guests and potential members are very welcome. Please visit the website at www.rossrotary.com.
