BEATRICE Cadbury, daughter of the world famous chocolate empire, grew up surrounded by all the privileges money could buy.

But in 1920 she decided to give back all the Cadbury shares she had inherited to the Bournville factory workers – with unexpected consequences.

Now the opportunity is on offer to hear about her life when Fiona Joseph, author of Beatrice's biography, presents her illustrated lecture at Grange Court, Leominster, on Monday June 2.

Tickets for the event, which starts at 7pm and ends at 8pm, are available for £8 from Leominster Tourist Information Centre.
