COUNCILLOR Colin Kirkby was elected new mayor of Presteigne and Norton Town Council at their AGM last recently. This will be Colin’s sixth time as mayor. Before he was elected, outgoing mayor Cllr Beverley Baynham gave a report on her year as mayor. Beverley then handed the chain of office over to Colin who thanked her for the wonderful job she had done as the councils mayor for the last twelve months and presented her with some flowers on behalf of the council.
