A HEREFORD couple who have just celebrated their diamond wedding believe that not going to bed on an argument is key to a long marriage.
Gordon and Patricia Thomas, from Redhill, wed at St Mary's Church in Burghill in 1954 after meeting at a party.
Gordon worked as a postman in the city, while Patricia was a shorthand typist from Canon Pyon.
They have lived at their present home in Frome Avenue for nearly 47 years.
"We never go to bed on an argument and we have stuck at it," said Patricia.
The couple have two children, Christine and Mark, and two grandchildren, Ellie, aged 17, and Olivia, 13.
Their late son Nigel died aged 22 in 1977.
A party is set to be held for them this weekend.
