A HEREFORD man has today been found guilty of manslaughter.

Charles Harrison, 57, of John Tarrant Close, Newton Farm, denied charges manslaughter and of inflicting grievous bodily harm on Stephen Lysycia but was today convicted at Worcester Crown Court..

During the six-day trial, the jury heard how Mr Lyscycia was punched in the face by Harrison on April 6 2012 outside the Golden Fleece pub on St Owen Street in Hereford.

The blow caused Mr Lysycia to fall back and hit his head on the concrete, leaving him with a fractured skull.

Mr Lysycia, who was from Bennett Mead, Moor Farm, spent more than a year in a coma and remained on life-support until he died last May aged 54.

Harrison was sentenced to three years in prison today.
