PALESTINIAN Ibrahim Badwan arrived in Knighton on May 6 for a two-week stay with members of the Knighton Palestine Links group. During his stay, Ibrahim will take part in a lot of events including talking at Gwernyfed High School and Bishops Castle Community College; meet MP Roger Williams; take park in the Hereford Diocesan ‘Holyland’ day conference; talk to a group from Knighton churches together and the local Amnesty group and help raise funds for CADFA at a meal. CADFA work in Camden to promote awareness about the human rights situation in Abu Dis and in Palestine and helped organise Ibrahim’s visit to Knighton.

Ibrahim was also at the Knighton community market last weekend when members of the Knighton Palestine Links group sold Zaytown products including oil and handmade knitted items. He also encouraged people to sample Palestinian foods including dates, za’atar and crass, a milky dough with a savoury filling.
