LEDBURY people will be offered tours of the renovated Master's House during the town's forthcoming Community Day.

Herefordshire Council communications officer, Lisa Sullivan said: "As the local community can now see, progress has been made at the Master’s House site. "The scaffolding which has recently been covering the building has now been removed, exposing the beautiful exterior of the building."

She added: "The windows are currently being put in, bringing the building toward the vital stage of looking complete. The majority of these are original windows which have been superbly refurbished.

"Internally, walls are being plastered and there is a feeling of being able to see the finished state of some rooms. "

Tours will take place between 10am and 2pm on the Ledbury Community Day, June 7.

The Master's House dates back to the late fifteenth century and it is the subject of a £3m project to give the town a new community hub and library, which will open next winter.
