IMPROVEMENTS to footpaths and disabled access is due to start on Ross Road in Hereford next week.
The work will be carried out between Hinton Road and Mayberry Avenue from Monday and is set to take up to seven weeks to complete.
“This work will provide improved footpath surfaces for pedestrians, and also improve access for disabled people by improving crossing points," said Highways Agency Project Manager Purnima Kaul.
“The work will be carried out mainly using temporary traffic lights to manage traffic, but we advise road users to allow extra time for their journeys and for local residents to expect some disruption to their access.”
Daytime work will be carried out from 9.30am to 3pm and night time work from 10.30pm to 6.30am.
Some temporary closures will be in place and will affect access to and from Hinton Road, Priors Walk, Boycott Road and Pencroft Road.
Access to Hinton Road will be via Holme Lacy Road, Hinton Avenue and Hinton Crescent, Priors Walk and Boycott Road will be via a gate located on Priors Walk and Pencroft Road will be accessible via Mayberry Avenue and Hillside Avenue.
