BRINSOP Court hosted a St George's Day supper in aid of Brinsop Church on April 23, in their medieval banqueting hall.

Eighty guests enjoyed an informal supper and the chance to look around the luxurious interior of Brinsop Court manor house as well as participating in some lighthearted fun to raise funds for the local church.

Pat Churchward, owner of Brinsop Court said "I wanted to do something for the local community and in discussion with Liz Hill, who lives in the hamlet of Brinsop we decided a fund raising evening for Brinsop Church would work well".

The guests arrived to the sounds of a harpist playing and one guest commented that she felt transported to an earlier age as she and her partner approached the house across the moat.

Sarah de Rohan, representing Herefordshire Historic Churches Trust urged guests to dig deep in aid of St George's Church at Brinsop and the evening raised over £800 thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended.
