THE Offa’s Dyke Association has a new chairman.
At the annual general meeting of the association, David McGlade was elected as chairman and composer and broadcaster, Lord Michael Berkeley, was elected as president.
Mr McGlade, who has been a member of the association since 1980, said: “This is going to be a busy year for the association. I look forward to working closely with all of our members, including our accommodation providers, and to fostering good relations with anyone and everyone who cares about Offa’s Dyke.”
Offa's Dyke is a 177-mile earthwork boundary, built by King Offa in the eighth century, which through Herefordshire north of Kington and attracts thousands of walkers every year.
