FOOD fans do not have long to wait, with Prezzo and Chimichanga both announcing Old Market opening dates in two weeks time.
Crowds flocked as the first shops opened their doors yesterday, and Chimichanga operations director Peter Robinson is backing what will be the city’s only Mexican restaurant to spice up Hereford’s dining scene.
He said: “Mexican food is more popular than ever and I am confident that people of all ages will enjoy the food and drink on offer.
“I am confident that Chimichanga will be a great addition to the city’s eating out scene.”
Neighbours on the new development, Italian restaurant Prezzo will be first to the punch, opening its doors on Thursday May 15, with Chimichanga opening the following Saturday.
Both restaurants will be open from noon until 11pm throughout the week, offer a children’s menu, and seat around 120 diners – including room for around 30 diners each outside.
Prezzo offers a range of pizza, pasta, salad, risotto and grills, while Chimichanga’s menu will include Mexican classics; burritos, tostadas, enchiladas and quesadillas as well as a grill section.
