THE annual Knighton's got talent was held at Knighton community centre last weekend. The event is a fund raising event for Knighton show and carnival, organised by members of the committee and raised £1040. The twelve acts who performed on the night were introduced by MC for the evening Mike Conway who also introduced the three judges Dan and Matt Price and Mandy Evans as Gladys. The acts started with a dance routine by Alisha Aspley and then other acts included vocal performances by Molly Locke, Chloe Lewis, Charlotte Locke, Nicole Burton, The Llanbadarn Girls, Nathan Davies and Shannon Anderson who was accompanied on guitar by Jay Collingson. There were some comedy dance or singing acts by Johnny Lewis and Matt O'Rourke, The Orrids, members of the show and carnival committee and Sugar. Mike Conway thanked everyone who had taken part and helped to make the event a great success. The results were 1st Nicole Burton, 2nd Matt O'Rourke and Johnny Lewis and 3rd The Llanbadarn Girls, Annie and Katie Fairclough, Jodie and Katie Price and Frances Jones. The winner Nicole Burton is 17 years old, lives in Crossgates and is studying health and social care and humanities at Hereford College.
