MORE than 100 Easter eggs have been donated to people who rely on the help of Ross-on-Wye's food bank.

People rallied together to support the Easter Egg Scramble campaign launched by Dawe Brothers Funeral Directors in the town.

The 110 eggs were then presented to the Ross Community Larder, where they will be divided among the users of the food bank.

Funeral director Keith Ellis said: “It’s been fantastic to see so many people coming into the branch with donations. We’ve seen lots of local residents, but we’ve also had donations from as far as Hereford, and we are truly grateful for everyone’s support.

"The chocolate eggs donated in the last few weeks will mean there will be a lot more smiling faces this Easter.

"While these Easter eggs will provide a special treat for families currently relying on the food bank, we hope that local people will continue to support the Ross Community Larder throughout the rest of the year."

Easter eggs and other items can be donated to the food bank by visiting the Dawe Brothers branch at 29a Gloucester Road, Ross-on-Wye.
