THE fast-moving University for Herefordshire project has a seat at Hay Festival – on centre stage.
Project co-leader Karen Usher will join David Willetts MP, Minister of State for Universities and Science, and Prof Sir Eric Thomas, Vice Chancellor of University of Bristol, on a panel chaired by Hereford & South Herefordshire MP, Jesse Norman for a major debate the future for higher education in the UK.
The panel will take the Herefordshire project as a case study for that future, specifically the UK’s growing demand for graduate scientists and engineers ready for the global workplace.
Project Co-Leader David Sheppard said: “We encourage everyone in Herefordshire and beyond who has an interest in the future of Higher Education, the growth of the
Herefordshire economy, and the vibrancy of the county to join Karen and this distinguished panel in a lively discussion of how the future of university education is
developing, here and around the country.”
The festival debate is set for 9am on Sunday, May 25.
