Acrobatics fine but do you think Animals should be transported from town to town in a back of a lorry just because 'a few' find it entertaining??.

I agree 100% with silentbull2 , NO animal should be used in a circus in this day and age . We might be in the minority but nothing will change my opinion.

No, you guys are not in a minority.
I am uncomfortable with the exotic animal element of this too.

Hores, perhaps or dogs possibly, but even then it always looks a bit exploitative.

I notice that I have gone from plus1 to. 0 , just a pity that the person who marker me down hasn't got the manners or wherewithal to give their reasons why they support animals in circuses .
Oh! If we receive a load more - it will not change our minds.

I often worry what do the circus owners do with these poor animals when they no longer serve the purpose they were wanted for.?
Its time things like this were stopped. Aren't we all better educated now to know that transporting animals in backs of lorries and expecting them to perform mindless tricks just for our entertainment cruel.
These animals must get very stressed and that must shorten there life expectancy.

The unwanted animals go to pet food any one who goes to this obscenity is supporting these animals being caged and chained.

Heartily agree with all comments. It is 2014 and performing wild animals are a big no no. Some years ago whilst travelling in France, I happened upon a circus parked in a field. One of their trailers no bigger than 15ft by 6ft had a large cat in it, a Puma I believe. The poor beast was pacing up and down the cage in a an agitated state-it quite upset me-lets put an end to this cruelty.

That's great news, can't wait to take my family to go watch all the acrobats and animals. To the people that moan an think it's cruel, go check the animals for yourself, you will see they arare well cared for an loved by the people that take care of them.

I've been watching camels and donkeys perform at Edgar Street quite recently. The only sufferers appear to be the crowd.

My friend & I got some free tickets a couple of years ago to see this Circus in Malvern, it was ok to begin with, then they brought out these small horses and hit their legs with broom pole handles, I voiced my displeasure, out aloud, and several other people agreed with us. Then all of a sudden about 8 large circus thugs gathered around the two of us and threatened us to leave in the middle of the performance. We got up to go, by this time we had seen enough anyway, when we got down inside the foyer, these men pushed us towards the entrance and followed us to the car, we were grateful to get out safely. They are awful and if they treat us like that, how do they treat those poor animals ?

Maybe so, but would you really like to live in a small cage all your life and the only time you get out is when you perform in a circus ring? I agree with other people animals at a circus is outdated. i know it is the traditional thing to see, but sometimes we just got to step back and look at things without blinkers.

Shame on you Hfd Times for advertising this so called entertainment! Isn't it time for a complete ban on any animals in circuses!!! It is outdated and unnecessary. Animals being hawked from one town to another in cattle lorries is immoral, I'm sure most people would be less than accepting if it were there own pets that were treated in this way...... Animals+Money=Abuse
