THE outgoing president Dr Derek Foxton recently installed Geoff Edwards as the 45th president of the Probus Club of the City of Hereford. The club was formed in 1970 and is one the oldest Probus clubs in the country. For over 42 years the club met in the Farmers' Club, but for the last 18 months it has met in the Herdsman Inn at the top of Widemarsh Street (opposite the multi-storey car-park).
The club's members are retired professional or business men (hence Pro-Bus). Our Thursday morning weekly meetings are a mixture of talks, visits, natter and good humour (and a drink after meetings).
If you would be interested in joining the club please contact Geoff Edwards (01432 265926).
