A COUNTY pub has been named CAMRA's pub of the season for spring 2014.

The Green Dragon Inn in Bishops Frome received the award from Campaign for Real Ale because of the range of real ales they have on tap.

Landlady Zoe Dickinson and landlord Adam Durrant have been at the pub for 11 months said they are 'so pleased' about the recognition.

Zoe said: "We are working hard to keep the six real ales that we offer to the standard that everyone expects. In 11 months we have also increased the hours of food service, and we also now offer home-made Sunday lunches. It's a little bit surreal to get the award, we couldn't believe it.

"For us to achieve this award in such a short space of time is incredible. The locals really appreciate the selection of real ales, and really have helped us achieve the award."
