FAMILIES throw out up to £700 of food each year – and Hay-on-Wye’s environmental groups have organised a free session next month with ideas on how to cut down on food waste.
Friends of the Earth's Bleddyn Lake said : "We are running this free, fun and interactive ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ session to give you ideas and top tips to make the most of your food, reduce waste and save yourselves up to £60 a month.”
The April 9 event - co-hosted by Waste and Resources Action Programme - will run from 7pm-9pm at the Granary on Broad Street; for more information call 02920 229577 or email bleddyn.lake@foe.co.uk .
