BIG FISH Landscapes netted a top national award last week for an ambitious project that combined and orchard, a herbaceous garden and a open sculpture lawn.
Picking up the prize in the Association of Professional Landscapers’ Soft Landscaping category, the firm, who have offices in Ross and Hereford, claimed their second national award of the year and have their eyes set on a bigger prize.
Big Fish’s Andrew Ball said: “This sets us up perfectly as we make our final preparations to build a major garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
“The award is testament to a fantastic team effort from all involved.”
Judges at the awards ceremony in London paid tribute to all entrants' determination in the face of ‘atrocious weather’ this year.
However they were particularly impressed with Big Fish's wide alpine-style ‘scree garden’ that incorporated several elements with access routes to and from the house.
