ONE of Hereford’s favourite sons has been spotted on his holidays, across the border in Malvern, apparently travelling by bus.

Sir Edward Elgar, or at least a Banksy-style stencil of the famous composer, appeared overnight at a Malvern bus top.

The life-size graffiti, along with three pop art portraits of the former Hereford musician, is the work of Malvern artists Lee Morris and Tom Brown and has been a hit with the locals.

Their “anonymous gifts” took around 100 hours to create, and the local council may now consider commissioning other pieces throughout the town.

If you happen to be in Malvern, you can check out the four Elgars for yourself at the Rose Bank bus shelter on Wells Road in the centre of Greater Malvern.
