ROSS-ON-WYE’s two parish councils could become one, if a Herefordshire Council review accepts recommendations to unite the two bodies next month.

The move would merge Ross-on-Wye’s town and rural parish councils, with the number of councillors needed also being reassessed.

The review was launched today and after five weeks Herefordshire Council will take their decision to the Local Government Bondary Comission for England – with any changes coming into effect ahead of the May 2015 local elections.
