SIXTEEN new homes could be built in Marden.
PJ Developments Ltd is proposing to have the properties - which includes affordable housing - on land to the rear of Paradise Meadows.
The outline planning application states that the scheme would be in keeping with the rural area and the scale of the buildings would not be overbearing. Access would be off a road to the south of Laystone Green, which has already been widened to improve road safety.
However, the county's public rights of way department has objected to the proposal, stating that the development would be built over a public footpath.
