A ROYAL National College for the Blind (RNC) student learnt about law during a week's work placement at a city solicitors.

Alex Green helped out in the litigation department at Harrison Clark Rickerbys and undertook research on case law regarding companies who have been prosecuted under the Data Protection Act.

"We were delighted to be able to provide Alex with the opportunity of seeing how a large law firm operates," said Matthew Hayes, a partner at the solicitors.

"We hope it will be able to help him when he goes to work in August, upon completion of his studies at the college."
