RUNNERS from around the county are being invited to take part in this year's Crocodile 8 challenge.
The tough, multi-terrain, eight-mile race starts at Burghill Community Primary School on Sunday May 25, with all proceeds going to the school.
Runners will follow a course through the Herefordshire countryside, through Burghill, Tillington's Badnage Wood – or crocodile wood – and Tillington Common.
The main race begins at 3pm and entrants must be aged 16 or over to compete but there will also be children's fun runs taking place from 2pm.
Race entries are limited to 350 so organisers recommend entering online although participants can enter on the day with cash for a surcharge.
There will also be an evening of entertainment at the after-party which will be held at the Bell Inn in Tillington.
