MEMBERS of the Knighton Primary School Eco Club have contributed to a display in Knighton Library. The display will be up until the end of February.
The display is part of the community Water Stories project the Eco Club and school choir took part in at the end of last year.
Eco Club members used recycled materials including plastic, foil, paper and straws to make sea creatures including sea turtles, squid, dolphins, puffer fish, jellyfish, a shark and an octopus.
The display highlights the dangers faced by the many sea creatures killed every year as a result of plastics and other rubbish ending up in the sea. The children also wrote a poem as part of the project called Bottles and Bikes encouraging people to recycle and re-use. This is also on display in the library.
