A LUNG-BUSTING 24-hour spinathon has grown into a huge fundraising event, with Paralympian Josie Pearson and GB blind footballer Jono Heenan adding their names to a growing list of 150 team members.

Looking to raise money for the Royal National College and British Blind Sport, the Point4’s fitness guru Ben Harwood organised the event ahead of his London Marathon run in April.

A total of 27 teams have already entered the epic spin session – which requires teams of four or more people to keep their indoor cycling bike rolling continuously for 24 hours.

And one person taking on the challenge with a slight twist is London 2012 F51 discus champion Josie Pearson.

She will be leading her team through the 1440 minutes on a hand bike.

Both Josie and Jono work with Ben for their strength and conditioning work, and, if they are able to move after the event, will join the other spinners and supporters at an after party in Munstone House.

The spinathon itself will begin at 9am on February 21 when a silent auction will also take place.
