THE artwork of a talented seven-year-old has been chosen to 'advertise' a big city business.

Year three pupils at Ewyas Harold Primary School were asked to draw an 'advert' for Cartridge World and the drawings were then displayed in the company's Hereford store in Bewell Street and West Street store in Leominster.

Seven-year-old Ioana Partene won 46 per cent of the public vote and was presented with her own art set. Her advert can be viewed at the Hereford store.

Alex Pattison-Appleton, director of Cartridge World stores in Herefordshire, said: "Cartridge World was privileged to have been involved with such a talented group of young people at the school.

"Ioana particularly stood out as having captured the essence of our ethos in her drawing.

"I was particularly impressed with all the children when I spoke at their assembly about the importance of recycling.

"Despite their young age they had extremely mature answers and had clearly understood the how vital it is to care for our environment."

Empty cartridges can be taken to Cartridge World branches in Leominster and Hereford, including their additional unit at Holmer Trading Estate.
