CHANGES are to be made to one of the county's biggest annual events.
Last year's Flavours of Herefordshire Food Festival, held over two days in November, saw around 30,000 people turn out to sample some of the best produce that the county has to offer, as well as watch celebrity chef Paul Hollywood give a live cooking demonstration.
Organisers say that due to the popularity of the event that has seen it attract more visitors each year since it was launched in 2006, this year will see the festival run for three days instead of the former two.
The festival will also move from the Cathedral Close to the Castle Green and switch from autumn to summer with dates of August 23, 24 and 25 announced.
Sally-Anne Roberts, managing director of Visit Herefordshire, the festival organisers, said: "Last year we had about 40 people wanting to have a stall at the festival but we couldn't fit everyone in.
"Moving to the Castle Green means we will have more room and hopefully the weather will be better in August too."
