PEOPLE in Ross-on-Wye may have to pay an extra £20 a year should Ross Town Council take responsibility for a number of the town's assets.
The Market House, the Old Chapel, the Rope Walk and Caroline Symonds Gardens are all earmarked to be transferred from Herefordshire Council's control to the town council.
The Crossfields, Homs Road and Wilton Road car parks are also included, as are public loos in Wye Street and Red Meadow.
If the transfers do go ahead, tax payers will be asked to pay an additional £20.79 for a Band D household.
A public meeting will be held at the Larruperz Centre tomorrow (Friday) at 7pm to discuss the issue.
Councillors are expected to make their decision known on Monday.
