“ONE in a million” bull Sky 1 Korker has become the first animal to be sold from Hereford breeders Boomer Birch and Graham Brindley’s 2011 Sky High herd.

The youngest entry in last year’s National Hereford Calf Show, Sky 1 Coker won first in his class and new owner Jeff Price paid tribute to his tremendous conformation and success as a show cow.

The Coley herd of Polled Herefords breeder said: “He is a wonderful bull with a great temperament and we look forward to showing him locally and nationally and expect great things from his offspring in due course.”

His previous owners wished their stand-out bull the best on his trip to Halifax, adding that Korker was “special from the day he was born”.

Boomer Birch: “From an early age he displayed exceptional growth with outstanding muscle, exceptional width and strength carried throughout and especially over his loin.”

Korker is out of the Baybridge 1 Atlas daughter Romany 1 Ishbel A84 H34.

Ishbel was purchased privately from Robert Wilson after winning the Hereford Calf Show at Agri-Expo 2011, she went on to win Hereford Female of the year 2012 and is one of the herd’s foundation females.

The sale price was undisclosed.
