MORE than £5million has been spent on temporary staff by Herefordshire Council in the last year.
A Freedom of Information request by the Hereford Times revealed that temporary roles such as travel advisor, recreation assistant and personal assistant cost the council £5.2miliion between December 2012 and December 2013.
There were 150 jobs listed as "temporary" in that period, but Herefordshire Council could not confirm specific salaries.
