A SPEEDY snapper was quick off the mark to shoot one of the most remarkable scenes nature has to offer.

Instead of getting into a flap Edmund Johnson got into focus when he spotted this fantastic picture opportunity near the Courtyard in Hereford.

When a gathering of Starlings resembled a whale swimming through the ocean Edmund didn't hesitate to hit his shutter button.

Such displays see the birds diving towards the ground and then soaring skywards at pace before swiftly changing formation to create different shapes in the sky.

I remember sitting in the 'Len Weston' stand at the football ground a few years back and noticing this fantastic sight happening,
I was transfixed it was a fantastic sight watching thousands of them change shape every couple of seconds.
One of the great beauties of the natural world
