Plans to convert Whitbourne pub into a house

A COUNTY pub could be converted into a residential home.

Plans have been submitted by the new owners of the Live and Let Live, who want to change the use of the Whitbourne pub.

The Hereford Times reported in February that the pub was up for auction, with a guide price of £245,000.

However, the planning statement submitted to Herefordshire Council states that it did not sell and it was later purchased by a couple under private treaty.

The statement adds that trade has declined steadily at the pub over the past six years, which saw previous owners Enterprise Inns attempt to sell the property.
