A HEREFORD pub has been dishing out some early Christmas cheer to elderly residents this week.
Becky and Ben Andrews, landlords at the Vega Tavern, served free Christmas lunches to the 28 customers who put their names down last Wednesday. (December 12)
It was their way of spreading some Christmas cheer for their local community.
Ben said: "It went really well – they all enjoyed it. It was something that the previous landlords used to do and we thought we would put it back on and see what interest we got.
"We wanted to try to bring the community back to the pub, or the pub back to the community. We've had some great comments, everyone is looking forward to next year now."
